As part of its year-long 10-year anniversary celebration, God’s Kitchen of Michigan is giving away 150 free pizzas in Kalamazoo on Thursday, January 21st.
The nonprofit hunger-relief charity says pizzas will be distributed from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at their Douglass Community Association meal site at 1000 W. Paterson Street, the Wesley Foundation, 2350 Ring Road North, and various locations in downtown Kalamazoo where homeless citizens congregate.
“This will be the second of many special dinner events planned for 2021 to celebrate a decade of service to both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo,” said Pastor William Stein, chairman of God’s Kitchen of Michigan.
On January 20, the soup kitchen will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in Battle Creek where the organization was founded. God’s Kitchen of Michigan, formerly God’s Kitchen of Battle Creek, began in January 2011. In 2017, Stein opened a second facility in Kalamazoo and continues to provide meals from their Douglass Community Association meal site.
